I was shocked that Eldon's gives out plastic bags. 99% of tourists come to see the reef and everybody knows that plastic bags kill marine wildlife and are bad for ocean ecology. Why not ban plastic bags and just sell customers $1 reusable bags? If they keep forgetting to bring their bags for shopping trips, they can keep buying more re-usable ones. It's 2013 - plastic bags are already banned in many cities around the world. Why not ban them in a ecologically sensitive marine park?  -- Sarah, Cambridge | |
