As of this date, November 15, 2010, construction of Media Luna Resort is nearing completion. I took a ride down there last week, and there were dozens of construction guys all over the place. The large central amphitheatre looks awesome -- right about where the marker is in the map above. With at least 2 private beaches, Media Luna guests will have the place to themselves without being bothered by vendors and cruise shippers as is the case in West Bay. Media Luna is in its own little world and looks to be a tranquil escape on Roatan.

Media Luna (aka Half Moon Bay) that's its name by locals who have frequented the beach for the past 200 years... It's one of the most tranquil, beautiful, amazing places anyone will ever experience in the world... I should know, I've frequented it year after year, it's like part of our heritage. Anyone who's grown up on Jonesville Point, Jonesville or even OakRidge have memories of this place... So I hope the visitors of Roatan don't pass up the chance to get to know the greatest natural wonder of our beautiful Island of Roatan, Media Luna! It's crystal clear waters and amazing iron shores will blow your minds!
