Why did the cruise ships have to ruin THE most beautiful beach on the east coast of Central America? Back in the 70's and 80's, all you had to worry about on the beach were sand fleas. Now there is a new type of "sand flea" who leave their money, their trash and their pollution behind. There are so many other beaches that the cruise lines could have chosen to overpopulate. -- Concerned, San Diego | |
Although we didn't spend a lot of time on Roatan, Tabyana Beach was wonderful. Nice sand, great weather and the service was fabulous. The water was clear, the beaches were very clean, and at the left side of the beach, by the cliff there was an abundance of small fish to swim with. For the most part, the authorities kept a check on the local vendors that were selling items. It is a very nice getaway destination. -- Marv W., Boise ID. |
