A continuation of the island shelf, the upper reef is divided by wide sandy channels and colorful coral ridges that undulate with gorgonians in the current‘s surge. Blanketed by deep water sea fans, the wall begins its descent at 45’ and drops to several rocky outcroppings at 90‘ or more.
